MULTIMODAL PRESENTATION

What inspires me most about Lauren Greenfield’s work is how she uses photography to bring attention to deeper social issues while still making sure her images are visually strong. I want to take that approach in my own photography and use images to spark deep thought and emotion, not just capture scenes that are visually appealing. Seeing how Greenfield connects with her subjects also reminded me how important trust is in creating meaningful work.
MY COMMENT ON ANOTHER PEER'S WORK:
"Hi Susanna! I really liked how you explained Gordon Parks’ work and your presentation made it clear why his photography was so important. Your explanation of how he used photography to bring attention to everyday injustice was super enticing. I also noticed that you connected the photos really well to the categories from Criticizing Photographs, especially ethically and aesthetically evaluative. One suggestion I have is to add a little more background on each photo, like where or when it was taken. Overall, your presentation helped me understand how a photographer can make a strong statement. Great job!"
